Privacy Policy.
Restaurant Brand Grader · Effective date: June 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how KLMG-US LLC, doing business as Restaurant Brand Builders ("RBB," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Houston, Texas, collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Restaurant Brand Grader service (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Contact information. When you unlock a full report, we collect your name, email address, and phone number, along with your marketing consent choice.
- Restaurant selection. The restaurant name and location you search for and select.
- Fallback requests. If a scan fails and you request a manual grade, we collect the email you provide.
Information collected automatically:
- Scan and report activity. The scans you run, reports you view, unlocks, PDF downloads, and clicks on booking or share actions.
- Technical data for abuse prevention. We process IP addresses to enforce scan rate limits. IP addresses used for rate limiting are stored in hashed form.
- Analytics. We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate usage (pages viewed, events such as scans started and completed, and campaign parameters such as UTM tags). This analytics tooling does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.
- Local storage. We use your browser's local storage to remember things like your report unlock status and campaign parameters. This data stays in your browser.
Information about scanned restaurants:
Reports are generated from publicly available information about the scanned restaurant, obtained from third-party sources such as Google (business profile details, ratings, review content, and photos), the restaurant's own public website, and Google PageSpeed Insights. This information relates to businesses, but public review content may include reviewer names or other details made public by those platforms. We do not attempt to identify private individuals.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate, deliver, and store your reports, including emailing your report link and PDF;
- Contact you about your report and, where you have consented, send you marketing communications from Restaurant Brand Builders, such as brand tips and service offerings;
- Follow up with you about a strategy call when you have provided your phone number for that purpose;
- Operate, secure, and improve the Service, including rate limiting, abuse prevention, and debugging;
- Understand aggregate usage through analytics;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
3. How Information Is Shared
We share information only with:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf to run the Service: cloud database and hosting infrastructure, email delivery providers, AI model providers used for scoring (which process publicly available restaurant data, not your contact information), Google APIs used for business data and site performance, and analytics tooling. Each provider is bound to use the data only to provide services to us.
- Professional advisors and authorities where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to previously collected data unless you are notified otherwise.
Report pages are accessible to anyone who has the unique report link. Do not share your report link if you do not want others to see the report.
4. Marketing Communications and Your Choices
If you consent to marketing, we may email you brand tips and offers from Restaurant Brand Builders. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may opt out at any time. Transactional messages, such as delivery of a report you requested, may still be sent after you opt out of marketing.
If you provide your phone number, we use it to follow up about your report and a strategy call. We do not send automated marketing text messages without a separate, explicit consent.
5. Data Retention
We retain lead contact information and scan records for as long as needed for the purposes described above, typically for the life of our business relationship with you plus a reasonable period, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including restricting database access so that lead contact information cannot be read through public interfaces, storing credentials as server-side secrets, and hashing IP addresses used for rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and residents of other states may have similar rights under their state laws. To exercise any right, contact us at the email below. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are an owner or authorized representative of a scanned restaurant and wish to ask about the data in a report, see the correction and takedown process in our Terms of Use.
8. Children
The Service is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Do Not Track and Third-Party Sites
Our analytics do not track you across other websites, and the Service does not respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals. Links to third-party sites, including scheduling tools and the websites of scanned restaurants, are governed by those parties' own privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
